Since FDA approval,YAZ and Yasmin have been linked to severe blood clot related conditions such as pulmonary embolism (PE), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), strokes, and heart attacks some of which have resulted in death.
The pills carry a BOLD warning regarding the possibility of hyperkalemia and increased serum potassium however, they do not bold the other, more serious, cardiovascular side effects.
